Let's Help The Farmers In Tamil Nadu

Story

Tamil Nadu is witnessing an alarming agrarian crisis. Several farmers in the Cauvery delta region, faced with crop failure, have lost their lives either by killing themselves or out of shock. With the failure of the monsoon and reluctance from neighbouring states to release water to Tamil Nadu, crops have failed, leaving farmers with a drought they have never witnessed in several decades.

The ongoing By-election in the state followed by the prolonged hospitalisation and death of farmer chief minister lead to lack of government response towards farmer’s distress.

Rapid Response is a Chennai based relief organisation working with drought affected farmers and their families with various interventions. Through this campaign, we intend to support 400 farmers with Relief supplies and 200 farmer’s children with Educational support.

Our Relief Kit includes rice, dal, salt, sugar, cooking oil and biscuit packets. Each Relief Kit costs Rs 1000/-
400 x Rs 1000/kit = 4,00,000/-

Our Education Kit includes note books, stationeries and school bag. Each Education Kit costs Rs 400/-
200 @ Rs 400/kit = 80,000/-

Total = 4,80,000/-

If more funds raised, more number of farmers and their children will be benefited. Please donate and share the campaign with your friends and family. Thank You!
