Who are we?
We are Team Eco Titans, the official super-mileage team of VIT University, Vellore, INDIA and we take part in the Shell Eco Marathon, which is to be held in Singapore this year.
Our team will be represented by 8 students at Singapore this year and is lead by Anirudh.S, the Team Manager.
What is Shell Eco Marathon?
The Shell Eco Marathon Asia is an international platform for young engineers to design and build their own vehicle to give maximum fuel efficiency. More than 200 teams all over Asia take part in it to build futuristic prototypes with unbelievable fuel efficiency.
Why Super-mileage?
In today's world there is a desperate need of fuel efficiency as the energy crisis is an insidious reality. In 30 years time the question will not be how fast your car goes but whether you reach the place at all ! Being engineers it was necessary for us to foresee the future energy crisis and work towards a solution. Events such as the Shell Eco Marathon have realized the need of the hour and have helped place things in perspective for future innovators. Undoubtedly, further research and implementation of efficient automobiles will go a long way in our pursuit for a green planet and we are inclined to achieve the same.
Our past experiences:
We have had a number of achievements in the past including 3rd best overall for innovation, creativity and practical feasibility and are the winners of the early bird design award. Our achievements are innumerable but the hunger of achieving more and striving to be the best is ever growing.
Why fund us?
We have no dearth in knowledge or human resources in the team, but the lack of direct monetary support has decelerated our growth in the past.We have worked with utmost dedication to live up to the standards put forth to us while making our dream car.We are currently one of the best teams in the entire nation which takes part in this prestigious event.It is indeed a huge honour for us young engineers to represent our Nation in an International Arena , We aim to bring laurels to our nation by coming up with the biggest innovation of the modern society and thus put India in the World Map of sustainable development .And by funding our Team not only do you fuel our dream of working towards a sustainable future but also inspire many others like us who share the same vision and motivate them to take part in a similar venture like us.

As mentioned in our cost breakup, we require a lot of funds manufacture our prototype and ship it to our event venue. Our University funds a part of the project and for the rest we approach Corporate companies for sponsorship. Our season is almost complete and shipping is the only expenditure left.
Even though our car is almost complete and we're testing/tuning right now, we are facing a financial crunch regarding shipping the car. Sending our prototype vehicle to Singapore costs almost Rs. 4,50,000/-. Since the majority of the funds have to be paid upfront, we are struggling to make it to the competition. We are lacking Rs.1,00,000/- for the same.
We appeal to all of you to help us make our dream come true. Help us represent India and VIT University at Shell Eco Marathon 2017 and make the future.
