What you see in these pictures, is unfortunately, the condition of several government schools here in rural Meghalaya. And in such dilapidated and un-lit structures, it's difficult to imagine how the little kids would inculcate interest in education. Recently, our Honorable Chief Minister, Shri Conrad Sangma, renovated a school by donating his own salary. Click HERE to read about it.

Inspired from this act of generosity, I have also pledged to renovate Songadingre Lower Primary School in my subdivision by donating by two-month's salary this Diwali. But that only would ensure basic repairs. Many people have approached me with the desire to help after the successful completion of previous crowdfunding projects on Anganwadi Renovation and Solar lamp distribution. Hence, this campaign. I look forward to contributions from those who wish to play a role in enhancing the educational infrastructure of our govt schools. 

This Diwali, let's renovate and transform this school, to lighten up the faces of the children of Songadingre Lower Primary School!
