M.R.R.A.V.S junior college, located at Bhattiprolu Mandal, Guntur district, Andhra Pradesh is a community driven junior college (+1 and +2 only) established in 1981 by Adarsh Vidya Samithi (A.V.S), a non profit organization. In 1985, 3 acres of land was donated by Maturi Tandava Krishna, s/o Maturi Rama Rao (M.R.R) towards constructing permanent buildings. Every year, around 120-140 students from the surrounding villages enroll here for a nominal fee. The school building is really dilapidated and would require a significant repair (pretty much equivalent to that of constructing a new building given the condition) to ensure safety of the students.
The goal is to build 6 new class rooms i.e 3 R.C.C rooms on ground floor and 3 sheds on the first floor by starting of the coming academic year (i.e April 2019) and dismantle the old one. The plan is to start building this October 2018 and finish the project in next 6 months. The funds collected will be utilized in building the class rooms.
One of the attached documents talks about the rough estimation for the six classrooms, a total of approximately Rs 17,00,000
I happen to know this college via one of the lecturer working in this college and I volunteered to help them.
