Help 30 Crore people beat depression

Agraj Agarwal and Bhavpreet Soni are two young, educated entrepreneurs, who are the authors of the eBook ’Millionaire Mindset,’ a 5-star publication on Amazon. The success of their writing and blogging campaigns is evident by their Instagram account, @motivationpediaan account with a following of over 28K supporters.

After a year of college, Agraj realized engineering wasn’t the way he wanted to live his life. He discovered a desire to do something more meaningful. He decided to find a way to help others and change lives.

Bhavpreet’s first-hand victory over depression gave him survival tools, and he wanted to share them with others.  So together, Bhavpreet and Agraj were inspired to build a platform that helps others battling the disease.

Last year Agraj witnessed Bhavpreet’s bout with clinical depression. He saw Bhavpreet struggle constantly with
  • OCD
  • Panic attacks
  • Social anxiety
  • Crying fits AND
  • Self-isolation
Bhavpreet remembers being angry and blaming himself for everything. He recalls having suicidal thoughts and the urge of ending his life getting stronger with every passing day. His depression caused him to begin failing in college, his physical health was getting worse and his relationship with his friends and parents was strained and stressful, as well.

In hopes of helping him, Agraj dug the Internet and learned that depression is one of the deadliest diseases in the world and it affects almost 30% of the world’s population. He also discovered this video which aptly explains the 'DEPRESSION SCENARIO' in India.

It was at that time, Agraj and Bhavpreet decided to build a platform that helps people suffering from depression and MotivationPedia was born. Since then they and their team have helped, motivated and inspired many people.

Agraj and Bhavpreet began developing a resource to help the people suffering from depression. They started an Instagram account by the name @motivationpedia, to reach the people who are suffering from depression. Soon after, they started providing free counsel and support to people with all sorts of mental illnesses. Today, with the help of their team, they have inspired, educated, and motivated many people through their Instagram account.
People we have helped through our Instagram account @motivationpedia. Help us make this world depression-free. Let's beat depression.

MotivationPedia is a website which is designed to combat depression by providing:

  • Therapeutic chat rooms
  • Discreet therapy sessions
  • Screenings to detect depression
  • Online motivational videos, podcasts, blogs, forums
  •  24/7 helpline

Watch this video to understand what depression is and how MotivationPedia is going to combat it.

These are some newspaper cuttings from recent times.

As you can see; the number of suicides in India is increasing at an alarming rate and according to WHO, every person who commits suicide is depressed while ending his/her life. Not only this, but according to WHO, the number of suicides is going to increase a lot more in the near future.

With the help of your donation, MotivationPedia is going to cure depression, prevent these suicides and hence make this world a better place.

There are many websites/platforms that provide therapies and claim to help the depressed, but their efforts do not yield desired results as depression is at an all-time high and is increasing every year by 20%.

Because many sufferers fail to respond to outdated therapies, and instead, get motivated by watching videos, listening to podcasts, or simply by reading blogs and this is an area where these websites (which try to combat depression) lack.

MotivationPedia is an all-in-one solution and will provide every major element to recovery, rather than focusing only on traditional therapies. We are building a community where depressed people will access more preferred methods of healing, things suitable for this generation and more agreeable to the mindset and tastes of modern society.

Therefore, MotivationPedia = 100% motivation and no depression.

Dear Supporter,

We express our gratitude to you!

As we mentioned in our previous update; we are developing user blogs and user based tests that will motivate, inspire and help the depressed. Since, the last update, we have managed to raise close to 20,000 Rs. These funds will be used to further develop these features. The funds we have raised so far are still not enough to develop the fully functional website with all the features that will help us eradicate depression, so we request you to contribute again to our campaign so that we can reach our goal and develop the website fully. Even a small donation of yours can help us a lot in our fight against depression.

Thanks again for all your support.
Let's make this world depression-free.
