My Friend's (Saravana kumar) baby is suffering from respiratory distress syndrome, extreme low birth weight and sepsis. She is under treatment.
My friend's wife first pregnancy ended at 10th week. They were happy when second pregnancy was confirmed but at 7th week she suffered bleeding and doctor advised her to be in bed rest for six months. Suddenly at the end of sixth month her water level broke and admitted in hospital. Doctors confirmed that there was no sufficient water level for the baby and advised to be in bed rest till everything improves and they injected steroids for the development of lungs and brain of the baby which will be effective only after 24 hrs.
Unfortunately baby girl was delivered very next day naturally with a very low birth weigh of 750 g. Her organs were not fully matured and she cant breath without machine support. Hospital authorities asked us to shift her to SIMS CHELLUM Hospital at Salem where she is currently undergoing treatment.
she was improving slowly but at 26th day after her birth she had a problem in breathing and was put in ventilator support. Now its been 31 days since the delivery, the baby is going through a severe infection and is undergoing blood transfusions daily to fight against infection. Her blood group is A2 negative which is very rare and need fresh blood which is an added challenge.
The baby needs to stay in the NICU and continue with the treatment for 2 more months to recover completely but we cant afford to continue the treatment any more(They have already spent around 4 lakhs). We need all your support to save our preterm baby. Please help our baby's treatment by your contribution and prayer.
