12-Day-Old Baby Girl Who Struggles For Every Breath Needs Urgent Help

Ajay and Arpita were very excited to celebrate their first wedding anniversary this year. The best part of these celebrations, they thought, would be their newborn playing in their arms while they enjoyed their special day. But they had no idea that all their plans would go haywire and that they would spend their anniversary worrying about their newborn - worrying if she would make it to the next day. Now their baby girl is fighting for her life. She can't breathe on her own without support and also suffers from several infections that are life-threatening. Only prolonged hospital stay can cure her.

The newborn is just 12-days-old and has already been struggling with severe medical complications

Ajay and Arpita’s baby girl was born on 14th November and immediately after she was born, the doctors had to take her away and put her in the NICU. The baby’s lungs were not developed completely and as a result, she was unable to breathe on her own. She had to be put into High-Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation Support and the baby is still there fighting all alone.

“I could just see a glimpse of my baby girl after the nurse brought her to me and that was it. Then she was taken away in the NICU and since then I have only seen her from behind the glass box that she is kept inside. Arpita is too weak to travel to the hospital after the delivery. But even though she can’t be in the hospital, all she worries about is her little baby.”

Along with the breathing trouble, the baby is also suffering from infections and needs to stay in the hospital to recover fully

The young parents are going through a difficult time as their little baby is struggling for every breath in the hospital. The premature baby is also suffering from blood infections and the doctors have said that she needs to stay in the hospital for at least 3 to 4 weeks to recover completely.

“We had so many plans for our little baby - so many new clothes, toys, a crib but now they all seem useless. Every time when I go to the hospital, I enter the NICU fearing the worst. As I see my baby girl sleeping, almost covered in tubes and machines, I pray that she gets well soon and that I can take her back home. I long to see our baby smile - I know Arpita does too.

The new parents desperately want to save their newborn but their financial condition is becoming a major roadblock

Ajay runs a coaching centre and is the sole earning member of his family. He has been struggling very hard to make the two ends meet and also arrange for his baby’s treatment. He got some help from his friends and near relatives and has already spent about Rs 1 lakh. He needs Rs 7 lakhs more but is in no condition to arrange for that much amount of money.

How you can help

Ajay and Arpita are spending sleepless nights worrying about their 12-days-old baby girl. She is premature and is unable to breathe on her own. The little baby is also suffering from severe blood infections. The only way she can be better is through a hospital stay but her poor parents can’t afford that. Your generous contribution can help the parents get back their baby.

Your kind support can give this baby a new life
