These newborn twin sisters are fighting for their lives. They have been on ventilator support for the past few days. The only chance they have is continuous treatment, but their parents have exhausted their money and are struggling to support treatment for their baby girls.
Suvarna and her husband, Vikas, are trying their best to support the treatment but they need a total of 16 lakhs to save both the babies. They have to watch helplessly as their babies struggle to even breathe. Suvarna has not got a chance to hold her babies in her arms yet.
The first twin has difficulty breathing and needs ventilation support. She has developed infections and has several complications due to it.
The second twin needs high-frequency ventilator support and also needs nearly 2 months of hospitalisation. In addition, she would also need a surgery to recover.
Dr. Aditi patwardhan, Dr. Imran Jamadar and Dr. Supriya Patil are doing the periodic screening of ROP Retinopathy of Prematurity for the twin babies.
