Anandi Arts foundation is a non- profit organisation active since 2012.
We at Anandi have been training about 125 young girls from lesser priveledged background in odissi.
After five years of rigourous training we want to give them an opportunity to showcase their talent through "ASMI" a two-days dance and music festival happening in september 2018 at Bangalore.
To support them we also have six globally acclaimed artists performing in the festival.
Girls of anandi:
Students of Anandi are disciplined and dedicated dancers who lack the means but are passionate to learn.
Anandi Arts Foundation is striving to provide them with the best training in terms of technique and knowledge and encouraging them to carry our cultural legacy forward.
Festival director and founder- Vandana Supriya kasaravalli
Odissi Performer, Choreographer and Teacher - Vandana Supriya Kasarvalli dons multiple hats with elan.
Started training in odissi at the age of seven, she holds a degree in psychology and also a Diploma in Choreography from “Natya institute of Kathak
and choreography” under the able guidance of Late Guru Dr Maya Rao. She is also knowledgeable about various other forms like Indian contemporary dance, Martial arts, Kathak etc.
A critically acclaimed dancer, she has performed at prestigious festivals in the country and abroad. She has also worked with many NGO’s and organisations to spread the art form so that it would reach even the lives of those who are not privileged enough to get professional training.
From being a young child in love with dance to a composed adult who paved a way for herself, Her art form has been her stable foundation in life.
Our vision:
"Passion towards art is not bound by social and economical norms" no one should be deprived of the beautiful experience of learning an art form or their dreams should not be dictated by their background.
Endeavours like this are incomplete without moral and financial support .
Proceeds through this fundraiser will help us in curating the festival which include costumes, venue, technicians, music composition and artist remuneration. Also it will support further education of Anandi students.
Even the smallest contribution will be appreciated. We will be providing donor passes to donations above Rs. 5000/-.
We deeply thank you for your support and look forward to your presence at the festival.
