I am a full-time mom, a therapist to my 4.8yrs old son Aryamaan who has been diagnosed with cerebral palsy since birth. Cerebral Palsy is a non-progressive brain injury, where mobility, vision, speech, intelligence, sense to touch feel and movement, and muscle tone is affected.
As parents, we have left no stone unturned and have visited so far best of doctors and neurologists. We were not given any hopes for a better life for our kid, instead, we were told he has no future and maybe live as a vegetable for his life. Aryamaan is our only child and we never wanted to give up on him, and so we started with his physiotherapy, occupational therapy, naturopathy, craniosacral therapy. We gave him allopathy and Ayurvedic medicine. Some of these therapies did work on him like he gained partial head control, turning head, and locating audio and light reflects. But due to the lack of good health, he was falling back after every small achievement.
Doman international Institute in Philadelphia, USA: Ray of hope-
Looking for the hope we came across Doman international Institute in Philadelphia, USA. They visit India in Delhi every 6 months to teach patents with special need how to use an effective method to treat children at home.
Since last 3 years, I am following the Doman method for my son. With God's grace, the results are positive and last year with the help of fundraising we were able to get an evaluation for Aryamaan by the institute’s staff for a personalized home program. We have been since then following an excellent nutrition program, including best supplements from USA, and since then Aryamaan is at the best of his health.
-Intellectual program: This program has helped improve his vision so much that we have started his reading program, which he absolutely enjoys doing.
-Masking Program: We are also doing Masking program to improve his breathing capacity and to control his spasticity and jerks.It has also helped him to crawl from his incline floor much better than before, but there is still a lot of room for improvement.
Currently, we are not able to follow the physical program because of an inflammation in his elbow joint, as it’s difficult for him to move his arm. We were told by orthopedic to start on baclofen which has a lot of side effects, the alternate suggestion was to get Botox to control muscle tone, and there are not healthy options.
In the meantime, we learned about BDA method in South Africa, where they teach this method to improve the body structure of children and adults with CP. We went to South Africa in the month of May 2018 and learned a lot of different techniques to improve the structure of his hands, chest, feet, and hips which are at the moment in bad shape. We are currently following the BDA method along with Doman method also doing aqua therapy and reflex program. These treatments are building strong foundation though it looks small now but will bring a big change in my son’s condition in the future.
Yes! We need help! We need Financial Assistance! We need you to share this with people you believe who can help us with Funding for our child’s treatment! We need people who can connect us to NGO’s!

Funds are needed for the continued program for Doman international Institute in Philadelphia, USA. We have to visit the institute in OCT 2018, in Delhi this year again. It’s a 3-day program and follows up with Doman institutes, and BDA method in South Africa which is again a 3 day course, plus Aqua therapy and MNRI Reflex program are additional expenses. Other than this we also need to consider expenses for Travel and Hotel Stay for 4 days in Delhi and 8days in South Africa.
These treatments and therapies cost a lot of money time and energy. I am giving all my time and energy but we still fall short with finances and so we need your help and support to fulfill our dream to help my son take one more step towards becoming independent.
Breakup for the funds that are needed as follows:
Doman international Delhi: Evaluation $2000, lectures $1000, equipment’s,supplements, blood work and hair test for toxicity₹3,00,000, travel and stay ₹40,000.
BDA method South Africa: course fee 860Euro, travel, stay and equipment’s ₹4,00,000.
Miscellaneous expenses: MNRI reflex therapy ₹45,000 = total cost ₹10,75,000.
We financed our 2 trips for Doman lectures and our 1st trip to South Africa for BDA method, and MNRI course last year but it looks difficult to manage ongoing expense for these trips now.
We are really fighting hard to win the battle, please support, so that we can get one step closer to winning the battle to lead a normal life.
