How many of you have memories of climbing the trees or playing on streets without any fear in your childhood? Do you see kids doing that often now a days?
Why am I fundraising?
Society that cares for its children will not have more malls than parks, more multiplexes & TV channels than cycling paths.
Therefore the starting point of a well designed city is the child itself and its need for joy, safety, play and the opportunity to safely explore the wider world. It is this ‘scripting’ that enables societies of children today to have nostalgia for the future.
aProCh designs for nurturing of and caring for ‘childhood. aProCh (a Protagonist in every Child) is a community based initiative started in 2007 by Kiran Bir Sethi the Founder/Director of the Riverside School.
aProCh does this through various initiatives like Street Smart, Parents of the Park , Mov’ing Experience, City on Cycles and Koshish. Having spread across 7 cities in 4 states, touched around 85,000 children, recipient of prestigious awards Runner-up Financial Times/Citi Urban Ingenuity and the Amex Serve2gether pro-bono award 2013-2014
