Computer Mitra - Mobile computer lab for rural schools

Hello everyone!
I am Anushka Gupta, a 12th-grade student at DPS, Noida, and I am running this campaign for ThinkSharp Foundation

The world around us is digitizing. Millions of people are connecting around the globe using technology. The ongoing pandemic diversified the utility of technology for interacting with people around. While we all could adapt to such changes effortlessly, the people who had little to no access to such advanced technology faced countless challenges over the course.

This new regime had disabled opportunities for people who neither had access to gadgets nor knew how to operate them. I could understand their plight when my maid-servant asked me to teach her how to operate a laptop when she had to buy it for her son’s online classes. It was difficult for me to teach her from scratch as she was completely new to such technology and was not equipped with any sort of knowledge.

Many children are not being taught this essential skill despite knowing that the future lies in the technology itself. Most of the schools do not even include computers in their curriculum and the students spend years learning in the school without knowing what a computer really is and how does it work. As the world is progressing ahead by making everything digitized, it is important for everyone to know the basic and core digital skills.

Therefore, we should come forth and help the coming generations of our country by providing them with the necessary resources and high-quality education.

Who is ThinkSharp Foundation

ThinkSharp Foundation (TSF) is a non-profit organization established in 2011 with a vision
"To bridge the Rural-Urban education divide".

At ThinkSharp Foundation, we believe that every child has a right to better education. They should have the opportunity to access the education they deserve. With this in mind, TSF has started the project “StudyMall” which aims to bridge the educational infrastructure gap. As part of this, we set up DIGITAL CLASS, LIBRARY, and COMPUTER LAB in schools in rural India.

Learning computer skills is always a dream for students in rural India. TSF has geared its belt to turn these dreams come true. Moving a step ahead, TSF has launched its “Computer Mitra - Mobile computer lab” (as part of the StudyMall project) in rural schools.
