    This fundraiser will benefit

    Bewajah Samiti

    from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh

As we do in Bewajah, we want to simplify ahinsa and bring people as individuals and society closer to the essence of this one word. We start this festival with the hope that peace, and nonviolence will once again have the same impact on the world as they have often in the past.

The idea is to organise a festival where the mass, especially the youth will connect to the ideals that have been out of use for so long. For that cause we need help. We need monetary support to bring in the guests and the rent for space to organise workshops.

What we want to do is organise a festival in Lucknow under the presence of several speakers and renowned faces across the country who have strong practical knowledge on the subject of nonviolence. We want to make the idea of nonviolence very simple and practical.

The two days festival will involve a panel discussion on using the techniques of nonviolence in resistance and struggle against any manner of injustice. There will be a two day workshop for the youth and specially targeted to achieve students who want to understand the subject properly and know the means of using nonviolence.

Apart from that we are also going to organise small activities for kids where they will get to know the idea of nonviolence in simplest of terms through participation in various activities.

We strongly believe that nonviolence is the need of the present time and not just in the political atmosphere but in personal life.

To make it happen, we need help.

Here is a list of all the major regions where we require support.

Rent of the auditorium for 2 days – ₹37,500

Exhibition Hall rent for 2 – ₹18,000

Conducting the press conference – ₹3,500

Travelling and accommodation cost of the 8 guests coming from various parts of the country (Sitapur, Delhi, Faizabad, Wardha) – ₹70,000 (approx.)

Equipment required for conducting workshop and panel discussion such as projector, sound equipment – ₹20,000

Organising an exhibition on Ahinsa – ₹6,000

Food and snacks for the volunteer team of 25 youngsters – ₹12,000 (approx.)

Promotion of the festival across the city – ₹8,000

Video documentation of the entire festival – ₹35,000

Hence the total estimate we have calculated to organise this festival is close to ₹2,10,000

After the festival we are going to carry the campaign forward on the social media and prepare video clippings on the subject and its understanding.
