Help Mahreen Save Dogs and Give Them Shelter

I am Mahreen Syed and I am the Hyderabad city head of Being The Real Human Foundation. I am a student and I love dogs.

I have seen a lot of animal cruelty around me and animals suffering for their basic needs like food and water. Animals suffer from deadly diseases like canine distemper, Parvovirus, Parainfluenza which can be prevented with a few vaccinations which cost around 300 rupees each. We not only vaccinate dogs for anti Rabies but also vaccinate them with 7 in one and the boosters which prevent these deadly diseases. We at Being the Real human foundation fight for animal rights and look after their over all well being.

Our Vision

We at Being the Real Human foundation want every animal to have a safe environment around them where they receive medication, food, water, shelter and lots of love.

Why do we need funds?

As a student and a volunteer I can help dogs only to a certain extent and In some critical rescues it gets difficult as the medication and surgeries can cost a lot. We are currently taking care of 50 dogs and these funds will enable us help more dogs.

Raised Funds will be used for:

1. For providing meals twice a day for animals
2. Vaccinations like Anti Rabies, 7 in one + boosters and Corona.
3. Medication for injuries, fever, viral infections , skin infection, deworming etc.,
4. Serious Medical emergencies for dogs/cats who are subjected to  accidents, fractures etc.,
5. Providing a shelter
6. Controlling disease causing parasites like ticks, fleas and lice
7. Getting Animal Birth Control done and to provide post surgery care.

Our Works So Far

1. Our team has rescued and treated over 250 stray dogs in Hyderabad.

2. We help the dog find a new home after the treatment when ever needed.     We encourage everybody to adopt stray dogs.

3. We are currently providing  food , shelter , vaccinations and treatment for     over 50 dogs, in which a few are disabled.

4. We have successfully sterilized over 160 dogs so that the population is            controlled.

We have successfully sterilized 5 dogs. We took care of them for about 5 days fed them and gave them the necessary medication post surgery. These dogs were really lean, a dog's ribs were clearly visible, some had infections and skin problems too. One even had a maggot wound.   We are treating them now after releasing them in their respective territories.

We have also put on reflective collars so that they are safe from road accidents.

Your Donations will help us to spay and neuter more dogs.

Why Spay and Neuter?

Spaying and neutering helps your dog live a longer, healthier life.
Spaying and neutering reduces, or can eliminate, a number of health problems that are difficult and/or expensive to treat.
Spaying greatly reduces the chance of mammary cancer, especially if your dog is spayed before her first estrous cycle, and also eliminates the possibility of uterine or ovarian cancer.
Neutering will decrease the possibility of prostate disease and eliminates testicular cancer.

I rescued a puppy approximately 2 months old with a wound full of maggots and high flea infestation. The puppy was scared when I went to rescue him. I got her treated, the maggots where removed from the wounds using forceps. Due to a lot of fleas we gave her a bath and used solution that would kill the ticks or fleas. And then necessary medication was given. We also gave her some food and the way she ate it seemed like she was starving from days. Its been 2 days since I brought her home and she is recovering and becoming friendly towards humans rather than being scared.  We are looking for a loving family who can adopt her after she recovers.

About 11  dogs are suffering from tick fever, which if not treated immediately can cause failure of internal organs of an animal. The dogs which are severely ill, their treatment everyday costs around 3000 rupees for each dog. In which Blood tests and oral medical is not included.

We are struggling to give immediate treatments to dogs which have been affected due to lack of funds.
