Hello, I am Aditi, a social worker.

While Menstrual Hygiene Day is on 28 May, our team and partners work all year round to raise awareness about challenges regarding access to menstrual products.

On a global level, at least 500 million women lack adequate facilities for menstrual hygiene.

In India, over 336 million girls menstruate, yet only about 121 million, or about 36%, are using sanitary pads.
Each year, around 23 million girls leave school due to a lack of Menstrual Hygiene facilities and services, while countless others skip 5-7 days of school due to this.

These numbers are worse in some rural parts where the topic is taboo and most girls and women don't get the proper knowledge about MENSTRUAL HYGIENE.

More than 60% of menstruating women in India use old reused cloth, newspapers, dried leaves and husk sand during periods.

Lack of awareness, longstanding taboos, limited or no access to hygienic menstrual products, and poor sanitation all have implications for the health of our women in India.

This #MenstrualHygieneDay, let us break the stigma & highlight the importance of menstrual hygiene.

You have the power to make a difference.
You can help abolish period poverty for one school girl for a year for just Rs. 1440.

In 2021, Hamari Pahchan NGO gave over 30,000 Sukhad Kits to women, with a goal of distributing at least 50,000 Sukhad Kits to women. 24 packages of sanitary pads, 6 sachets of soap, and disposable paper envelopes would be included in these kits.

Sukhad Kit costs Rs.1400/- for one woman
and Rs.7,000/- for 5 women

The donation will help countless girls and provide them with the care they deserve.

We're excited as we hope to pull enough resources to reach millions of girls in India

Donate, share the news, and let's work together to find a long-term answer to India's Period Poverty.

Thank you to everyone who will donate to this amazing fundraiser to help supply menstrual hygiene products to women in India.
