India is a developing country, with 15 million blind people. Many of them are tucked away within the nooks and corners of their respective states, with absolutely no access to education, training and independent movement.
We had initially raised funds in order to produce the raw materials for making the rolling balls, rubber grips and white cane we have now produced a hundred sample rolling tip white canes, which have successfully been tested by visually impaired people, and now we are in the attempt to produce one thousand such white canes, and distribute them to as many blind people as possible within India.
Below is the picture of the produced white cane with the help of the previous campaign
The budget and break down as follows
Cost for producing one white cane: 650 INR
Break Down cost of one unit
White cane Body cost: 290 INR
Ball Bearing: 50 INR
Rubber grip: 60 INR
Rolling Ball Tip: 250 INR
Cost for producing 1000 Rolling Tip white cane 650000 INR
What is a white cane?
A white cane is a walking help /guide for the blind, It is a mobility tool for the blind, a symbol of identity for them too! There are different types of white cane. They are a long cane, folding canes and so on. Likewise, the tip of a white cane is the most prominent part. It enables smooth navigation. The normal tips are quite difficult to maneuver on the ground, it is often the case that while walking the tip of the cane gets stuck in uneven roads, grassy terrain.
In order to enable them to become independent, and move around freely and easily in their rural areas despite the rough terrain, we have initiated the production of accessible rolling tip white canes. These canes have a rolling ball tip at the end which facilitates easy movement and navigation through grassy terrains hilly areas, and roads under construction which are often the case in India. And so hinders the user from easy navigation.

Need of Rolling Tip whitecane
Our Indian roads are quite narrow, uneven and inaccessible, So a cane with a rolling tip facilitating easy navigation is the need of the hour. In the west, these canes are readily available, but at an exorbitant price.
This is our dream, to see the blind walking fearlessly on the inaccessible roads without fear of slipping. But this can't be achieved alone, we need your benevolent support, Please help us make a blind person walk fearlessly on the uneven Indian roads, and thus be independent.
