"Ignited mind of the youth is the most powerful resource above the earth, on the earth and below the earth" - Dr APJ Abdul Kalam.
With the inspiration of Swami Vivekananda and Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, Vandemataram Foundation was launched in 2005, the Centenary Year of the Vandemataram Movement with a vision to facilitate value-based quality education, especially in rural government school students.
Most of the students studying in government schools are the first generation students from their family pursuing education and lack any support system whatsoever apart from their Teacher and in spite of the best of efforts from a teacher, entire class cannot catch up to the pace of the classroom as each student has their own pace of learning.
With the help of after school learning centers and special camps in holidays the foundation is bridging the gap and facilitating peer-to-peer learning. To ignite the young minds the foundation is also organizing regular interaction sessions with powerful role models from diverse professions.
Every year the foundation organizes a residential exam preparation, career and life orientation camp (50 days) under the guidance of renowned educationist Dr. Chukka Ramaiah garu for 10th Class students preparing for their board exams as it is the most important phase where a student chooses their career path.
Students benefit immensely from the revision classes conducted as per their choice and the one-one feedback after mock exams. Statistics of students who benefited from the camp are given below:
We also celebrate the success of the government school students and best performing schools from across the state through "Prathiba Puraskar" in Ravindra Bharathi and these students are also taken for an aerial trip across Hyderabad in collaboration with Fly-Tech aviation academy.
We are very fortunate to have the blessings and guidance of Kalam garu and he wished us to own the cause and advised us to gradually take this movement to the people. The year 2020 is very close to our heart and as a tribute to Kalam garu we want to celebrate this year as a year of volunteerism and invite like-minded passionate hearts to be a part of this movement.
This year the camp is scheduled from Jan 27th to March 12th for 292 students and we are also going to celebrate the success of 150 students from across the state by felicitating them along with their parents and Headmasters as part of Prathiba Puraskar.
