My name is Major Aditi Mohan and I am here to fundraise for my friend’s fiancé- Sabita Dutta.
She is barely 25 years old. On 3rd Aug, she started to have severe head ache and by evening post administering self treatment with a pain killer, she seemed fine the next day.
On 5th Aug at work ( she works with a firm called INDEED), while all seemed normal, Sabita around 11 am suddenly couldn’t lift her hand at all and felt nothing. She was rushed by her colleagues to Apollo hospital at Indiranagar.
She was shifted to CMH for scanning ( MRI) when she collapsed and her entire left side was paralysed. Apollo doctors immediately advised that she should be taken to Vikram Hospital.
Immediate treatment was started with necessary scans and what came out was BLOOD CLOT in the BRAIN with internal bleeding which was spreading.
Brain started swelling.Her condition worsened and surgery was utmost important. Her parents live in remote place in east India and her brother for whom she had been supporting for his studies in Bangalore and was working for as a bread winner of the family; signed the consent.
The surgery has been performed. The skull is kept inside the stomach, her brain is yet not got back or come back to normal size as swelling is still there. Platelet counts are at 40k and is under medications and ventilator and in ICU.
Another surgery is important. Each day cost is about 50k for her lower middle class parents.
I have spoken to them today and heartbreaks to see them going through this. The father said that she is the son of the house and he as a father wants to cry seeing her in this state but can’t even do that in front of her.She needs help financially to recover and her parents are unable to afford. He has begged and seeked help and I am completely overwhelmed.
Hence, I wish to reach out to you all via MILAAP to provide her financial help.
Her firm had the insurance of 5 lacs and her bill amount as on date has already touched 5.5 lacs.The requirement is for another 10 lacs for them to perform surgery and treatment.
The forces can rescue lives from calamities but you can rescue her life with whatever you feel you can do to save her.
Even your minimum amount of 50/- will also help.
