    Menstrual Hygiene For Underprivileged Women

    from New Delhi, Delhi

Hello there!
My name is Rana Rohit
I'm a student in the 10th grade.  In the year 2021, I became a volunteer with Hamari Pahchan NGO.  However, one of their projects has greatly inspired me, and I have decided to get involved in it. 'SUKHAD' is the name of the project. I chose this project as I think it doesn't get enough attention and not many people are really educated about menstrual hygiene. I feel that people should learn this topic because it is essential. I would like to provide sanitary pads and other related stuff to women who cannot afford to buy sanitary pads. I also think people should set up classes in rural areas to educate people about this topic. People should be open to the idea of learning about menstrual hygiene. These people require help as they do not have the means to buy any suitable equipment so i thought it would only be right to help them. In the near future, I really hope everyone understands what menstrual hygiene really is all about. Lockdown has made me realise how important menstrual hygiene really is. I hope the social taboos related to this topic are eliminated as it is a very backward and narrow minded way of thinking. This is a topic i am genuinely interested in as it is quite a fascinating topic which requires urgent action as there are many people in need of help and education about this topic as well. I hope that you will donate to this cause as it is a cause worth donating to.
