Our Story

Manishaben (group leader, first right in the picture), formed and is leading a group of 40 women, all hail from Surendranagar, Gujarat. They help support their families by running an animal husbandry. The women in the group are very hard-working and have managed to carve a niche for themselves in their locality due to their microenterprise. The group’s average monthly income is around Rs. 16000. With growing children and a rising cost of living, they want to do their best to secure their future.

With this in mind, the group has decided to expand their venture. There is always a demand for their products. Manishaben and her group have, therefore, approached Saath Mahila (Milaap’s Partner) seeking a loan of Rs. 10,00,000. They intend to buy cows and buffaloes with the loan to grow their business. They are confident that this expansion will increase their monthly income by at-least 41% which will allow the group to repay the loan in just 12 months. Your loan will help these women to grow in their venture increasing their income, and thereby ensuring a good education for their children.
