Make in India - an ambitious goal envisioned to change the country into a global manufacturing hub is an initiative by the government of India launched last year around Independence Day. Make in India is an invite to global companies to use the skill and talent of Indians to manufacture their products here in India.
This Independence Day, Milaap is saluting the entrepreneurial spirit of local artisans and craftsmen who have been the sole carriers of our cultural heritage. With local artisans from Kashmir to Karnataka, through this initiative, Milaap is aiming to empower more than 15 small enterprises which will provide employment to more than 200 people. Join us in encouraging artisans to #MakeInIndia and let's craft a sustainable future for all things handmade in India.
