Unity Foundation works with children and youth in low income regions of Mumbai. We specially work with addicted children and the youth. We reduce the addiction through sports activities mostly cricket and football. As well as we provide children life skills, group and individual counselling , vocational training for youth, and after all placement for a job as per their skills. “Unity foundation” is established by Mr. Rahul Pol for healing and soothing drug addicts in Dharavi community. By helping them reduce and gradually stop their addictions, “Unity Foundation” is focusing on leading them to live better, peaceful and happy life. Our Vision is " To make a life easy and simple without addiction."Our unique point is we work with addicted children as well as their parents also. (eg: We keep a session once a week with the parents and provide them counselling to take care of their children) The organization works in Dharavi and other low income areas in Mumbai to reduce the incidence of drug addiction. Unity Foundation attracts drug-users and non-drug users into their programs through sports. They complement sports activities with life skill sessions which educate the children on the effect of drugs on health. The program focuses further on the addicted youth by giving them a drug-free peer group, alternate activities to occupy their time and rehabilitation facilities. Unity Foundation aims to reach out to 3,000 youth in the next 3 years.
