Hi there. I am Tejaswi, and I advocate for sustainable business and value creation in India. I am raising funds for the Leadership On The Edge program hosted by the 2041 Foundation's expedition to Antarctica.

I have been an environmentalist since I was 13. I founded the eco-club at my school, and since the time my essay was picked as one of the six winners on connect2earth - an erstwhile initiative by Nokia and WWF, I have strongly believed that the key to better personal and environmental health lies in what we eat.

Before you jump to the conclusion that I am asking you to give up your bacon, let me assert that I don't hold that view. Instead, I have come to understand the emphasis ought to be sustainably sourced food that is fresh, minimally processed, with little to no chemical exposure, and covering the shortest of food miles.

This is the area I want to make an impact on with my venture and efforts. I hope to take the first step towards this journey by participating in this expedition to Antarctica organized by 2041and led by Robert Swan, who has received the civilian honour of the Order of the British Empire from the Queen. He is a gifted communicator and has many years of experience in helping raise awareness, while advising several environmentally-oriented ventures, such as that of Paras Loomba, an ex-2041er, who founded the Global Himalayan Expedition.

I have already been accepted into this program. I will receive an unconditional offer once I am able to reserve a place on board by making the payment for the Expedition Fee.

The 'Leadership on the Edge' program by Robert Swan, OBE, is hosted by 2041's expedition to Antarctica.

What do I plan to do with the funds?

A large chunk of the funds raised will go into the Expedition fee. The tentative dates are March 13-25, 2016. The rest of the amount will go into funding my airfare, food expenses, warm clothing, and any licenses, permits and insurance policies that will be required to be allowed to go on this expedition.
