Why am I fundraising?

A small after-school learning center, a space in the community for our former students to spend time after school at CB Road, Korukkupet, in North Chennai. 

We decided to explore a space in the community to help students extend support after school - learning and play - access to books/library, activities for literacy skills, games, exposure to art/music/films/drama, field trips, to build life skills, teach values and spread a little joy.

These are children who we taught as a part of our TFI fellowship at a govt school there. We wanted to extend our support beyond the 2 year fellowship, and so it began in 2015.

What do I plan to do with the funds?

The funds go towards expenses such as rent, electricity, water, snacks, stationary, supplies, transportation.
