Dear Family,

Watch the video today and help us win a United Nations competition!!! ❤

The United Nations has shortlisted 20 videos for a chance to win a very prestigious grant and would you believe if we told you that a video that one of our own made has been selected in that short list?

What's cooler is that the video is about Gaia Grid ❤ apparently the video with the highest views at the end of this week will win the contest and also get to showcase its work at the COP 24 in Poland next year.

Just by watching the video, you'd be supporting us. And if you share it with your network, it might increase the chances of the video winning!!!
Love love love you all!!!

Hello, one and all,

1 year, 9 months, 16 days. Yes, that's how long its been since Gaia Grid started.

As I write this update from the tool room in the quiet middle of nowhere, I am reliving the most amazing 654 days of my life. We've come a long way. It wasn't always smooth sailing, especially the past weeks, with Kerala experiencing its worst monsoon and flooding in over a hundred years, but the storm has passed and the land didn't take much damage. The sun is finally out!

This update is primarily to share a small report of what we have done with the money raised so far. Over this year we also received donations offline and also received a prestigious grant that enabled us to acquire more tools and plant 400 indigenous fruit-bearing trees. This report does not contain the grant figures as we will report them separately. As promised, we continue to strive to be totally transparent with our fund utilization and all receipts are uploaded on the google drive. If you'd like to have a link to that, please do not hesitate to reach out.

I won't say that we've done all that we aimed to do, but with half of the fundraised goal reached so far, I'd say we are doing pretty great with the kind of change the land is seeing. More change, however, is being seen in the people who live here and the people around us; positive, uplifting change.

A new season starts September with volunteers coming in. Always such a beautiful feeling to have returning volunteers. This year we will also have our very first intern!

If you wish to contribute again, share our fundraiser with your network or want to become a regular donor, please continue using this link: https://milaap.org/fundraisers/jointhegrid
All funds raised from now on will go toward the construction of our long-awaited dorm space.

I'd like to end this message by saying a big thank you for being a pillar and being part of this story.

Until next time.

Extending our fundraiser by a few more months to try and reach our goal. If you or anyone you know would like to contribute to Gaia Grid, please consider donating. Sharing the fundraiser link: milaap.org/fundraisers/jointhegird with your network will also enable us to reach the goal sooner.

Big love and thank you for all the support you continue to give!
