Dear Supporters,
Namaskar!

I hope you all are doing great. :)

I am writing you today to share my wonderful experience which I had during a month long Kathak Workshop which was held from 22nd May to 24th June with the kids of TGL (Tea Garden Labour) community of Dibrugarh District in Assam (in collaboration with Jeevan Shiksha). During this period, I made the children aware of various aspects of Kathak Dance, as well as, it was also trying to ensure that the purpose of Anubhūti is fulfilled.

During this one month, children have done a lot of activities like they conducted the class and took the sessions, they themselves created a dance piece, written its lyrics and composed it, they worked in groups and did different projects. And on the last day, everything was being presented by the kids on stage.

During the whole process, kids were learning so many things which I could clearly experience in their personality. They were becoming more kind and soft for each other. They were helping and encouraging each other at every step. All kids were quite enthusiastic to dive deep in the world of Kathak which I could see in their sincerity and devotion towards the art form. The way they were getting involved in the workshop was incredible.

Unknowingly, these kids also helped me a lot in my individual journey. Overall, it was a great experience with lots of learning. We had a final stage performance on 24th June which also went very well and in the end, with heavy hearts and watery eyes, we bid each other goodbye.

I am sharing few pictures from the whole workshop, please find them below. You can also visit 'Anubhūti's Facebook Page for regular updates of the workshop.

Thanks for being a part of my journey. :)

With Love,
Annu

Namaskar,

I hope you all are doing great! :)

Just wanted to share that we have successfully completed our first Kathak Dance Workshop with the kids of 'Aasraa Trust' in Dehradun. The children, 'Aasraa' work with, come from extremely impoverished backgrounds and are mostly rag pickers, beggars, addicts, runaways and orphans.

It was indeed a very different experience for me to work with such children. I could see the difference in their personality from the day 1 to day 10 in terms of confidence, respecting each other, maintaining discipline, overcoming their fears of speaking and many more. Working with these kids helps me too to look within me which is helping me to improve myself.

Kindly Click here to see the glimpses of this workshop. Also visit and do like our Facebook Page to get all the latest updates of 'AnubhÅ«ti'.

In the end, I would like to thank you all for loving and supporting 'Anubhūti'. :)

Thank you all for your continuous support for this initiative. :)

So far, I have collaborated with seven NGOs in India (Assam, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Dehradoon, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh), out of which four official letters of collaborations have been uploaded on this page. Rest will be uploaded as soon as I receive them.

Till then, keep supporting the campaign and spread the word.
