My daughter Nandika has been discharged and is doing well. Presently she is undergoing maintenance chemotherapy and visits the hospital for the same. She is enjoying at our home in the village and recovering well under medication.

Nandika has been readmitted on for high fever, acute kidney injury, also she has acute respiratory distress syndrome. She is being closely monitored by the doctors.

Miracles happen every day and this struggle of a little girl and her family against cancer is indeed a miracle story. Thousands of milaap donors had prayed for Nandika and she has come out of the jaws of death.

Nandika has blood cancer and had presented with bacteria in the blood and a rare fungus called trichosporon in her liver and brain and was critically ill for over 4 weeks. She has been discharged successfully and is making slow progress. Her baby steps to recovery include little fights with her mother and her shy smile is adorable.
