Dear Supporters,

Thank you for the tremendous support.Amal was recovering well from the bone marrow transplant, and doctors have suggested that he could be discharged from the hospital in a week's time but all of a sudden from a couple of days his blood counts have dropped drastically. The doctors have done a bone marrow test yesterday to ascertain the reason for the sudden drop in the counts. We are awaiting the results which would be out this evening. Please keep him in your prayers.

Thank you.

Update: With all the good wishes coming his way, Amal has been showing some positive signs of progress after the bone marrow transplant. He has been shifted out of the Bone Marrow transplant unit to a special ward late last night. We will be updating you on the progress once we get an update from the doctor again. Thank you all once again for all your support and prayers.

One of our biggest milestones in getting Amal treated has been crossed yesterday. The bone marrow transplant has been done on Sunday afternoon. No signs of fever yet, and doctors say that it is a positive indication. But he has to stay in the isolated ward of the bone marrow transplant unit for a week or two to make sure the doctors review his condition on a continuous basis and no signs of infections show up. Later, he would be moved to a special ward where he has to stay for at least 3 to 4 months under the supervision of the doctors.

So many of you have written to us saying that you have been praying for Amal's recovery and its heartening to know that Amal is blessed with such beautiful souls around him. Thank you all once again.
