Ramdevi family have a new source of income, thanks to your loan

I had a to convince Ramdevi that it was not an inspection and all that I wanted was to ask a few questions about the loan. Ramdevi is mother of a young child who needs constant care and therefore can not work outside her home for now. She had taken the loan of 15,000 to invest in 'Kirana' Shop, but she instead invested the money in getting her handcart (thela) fitted with showcase so that her husband could start the business of 'Chat Stall'. The income from the chat stall is about 5000-6000 rupees per month, but presently they had to give the stall on rent at 1000 rupee per month as her husband needed to work on farms for the Kharif crop. Kharif crops are usually sown with the beginning of the first rains in July and is the most important time for the farmers here. Her husband will go back to work on the chat stall next month. 
Ramdevi plans to open a 'kirana' shop next year as her child will be old enough to go to school by then. She will apply for another loan from our field partner as she does not have enough savings to invest in a new business. 

Vimla had taken a loan of 15000 for buying additional stock of vegetable for her shop. But she invested the loan in buying diesel for tractor. Her family owns 4 acres of land and the money was spent on plowing the land with tractor. They also give the tractor on rent at 1000 per day. Though her tractor recently had an accident and is lying idle as of now. It seemed unlikely to me that such large amount could be spent of diesel therefore I took opinion of a few locals and they think that it is possible.
