"My son wants to become an engineer

Mamta Rout and her son Sonu Rout would like to thank you for your loan. They received it through Mahashakti Foundation. Mamta took the loan to aid her son's education.

Sonu will be appearing for his first board exams next year. He is preparing well for it. Seven days a week he wakes up at 4:30 in the morning to attend his tuitions which start at 5 am. After tuitions, he goes to school from 9:30 am to 3 pm. He spends his evening playing cricket and ends his day by studying for a couple of hours at night. I was surprised to hear about this young boy's strict and busy schedule for the day. Mamta told me, " He wants to become an engineer. The cut-off these days are so high. And we don't force him to study, he likes studying." Sonu plans to do his diploma after his 10th and then directly join an engineering college. When I asked him where he got the inspiration to do the same, he said, "Three bhaiyas in our colony had done the same. They did a diploma and then joined engineering, the diploma makes it easier to get into engineering." The boy seemed to know exactly what he was doing. What an inspiring young boy, I thought to myself. I hope he gets into a good engineering college and achieve what he wants in life.
