Renubala Prusty

It was almost afternoon when Renubala Prusty was able to take out time to meet us. Her children had come from school and she had provided food to them. She came over to the community area. It was here that the meeting was set up. Her group of friends also live here. Renubala herself used to reside within the community until she took accommodation away from the area. “We moved away from this place as I wanted to give my children a good and safe environment for growth and nurturing. The surroundings have a non altering affect on children so we took a home on rent away from here.”, Renubala stated the reason. She has three young children, 2 girls and a son. She believes her son to be the most sincere among all her children. While Renubala is a homemaker, her husband runs a business of selling coconut water. Her eldest daughter is studying in class 6 and her second daughter is in class 4. The eldest one has been suffering from frail health. She has severe tonsils which were being considered cancerous at one point. Her son, Mahaveer Prusty, studies in class 2. Renubala took an education loan for Mahaveer. The loan not only helped in paying for the school admission and tuition fees for her children. But a part of money was also used to pay for medical requirements of her daughter. Her daughter’s health is improving but Renubala mentions that she does not put any pressure on her. “I want her to do well but not at the cost of her health”, Renubala adds. Since Mahaveer is a bright student she tells us that she has high hopes from him. She wants to give good education to her children and wishes to see them settled in good careers..
