Bimalei used the loan to support her son's education

On one sultry summer afternoon of April in Bhubaneswar, we reach to meet Bimalei Jena. Bimalei has been a borrower with Milaap. She took an education loan to support her son’s education. Bimalei is a homemaker and lives with her husband and son, Abinash. Her second son could not pass his matriculate and later moved to his uncle's place in Raipur in search of work. Bimalei’s husband works as a salesman in a gas agency and she part time stitches clothes for an extra income. “The income from her husband's salary was not enough to support Abinash’s education. Since our other son has moved away, we are now doing our best to provide Abinash with the best education. Abinash has given his board exams this year with major in commerce. The loan money paid for his admission fees and also pays for the monthly coaching classes he took," she explains about the loan utilization. She is thankful for the loan and wants Abinash to do well in whatever he chooses to do in life.
