An independent woman and successful entrepreneur - Durgavva

Durgavva Kareppa Metri hails from Koujalagi village in Belgaum district. She stays with her brother and his family. Durgavva is former devadasi. After she came out of the system she worked on the farm as a daily for a while. She later decided to start a business along with her brother. She now owns a footwear shop. She has been selling the footwear in her locality for some years now. Durgavva wanted to expand her business. She decided to take a loan from MASS to purchase more stock from the market and more variety of products to her shop. This helped her increase her customer base.
