We have received new funding to scale up Milaap!

Written by the CEO/Co-founder of Milaap, Sourabh Sharma.

We at Milaap are thrilled to announce that we've received a new round of funding.  Read the full press release here.
This round of funding took some time, but we are glad that we are finally here and we are all EXCITED!
This funding is a huge validation that what we are doing is something which has a real potential to scale up and make a large impact in India. This would not have been possible without the immense support we have received from all our supporters, ALL OF YOU!
So what does this funding mean for us and for the communities we serve?
100% of this funding will be used to scale up our team, optimize our backend operations to reduce costs and increase our reach to more like-minded people - those who believe that we can. make. an. impact.
This translates in to hiring more engineers and developers in the team, to build tools to efficiently manage and track the funds we deploy via our field partners and also manage the way they report the impact on the field to us.
This also means making this information easily & transparently available to you, giving you more updates on the people you fund and giving you more reasons to come back to the site and engage with us.
We will strive to double our efforts in ensuring more people are aware about the people in need and their stories and give you tools to spread the awareness as well.
Most importantly, this funding means that we now have a chance to scale and impact more people and eventually become sustainable which we think is the most important thing - because we don't want the good work to stop.
We will continue to be driven by our social mission of making capital affordable & accessible to the hard working, deserving people in India who need that small opportunity to get ahead and change their lives.
Thanks for all your support all these years and hope we will continue to have your trust and support in the times to come!
