“I was waiting for my husband to come home. He was late. The phone rang and in my heart, I knew something was wrong. It was his friend on the phone. I heard him say that my husband was in the hospital and I sank to the floor.”29-year-old Renjith was on the way home from work
with a friend on the night of 19th October, when they were attacked by robbers.

that necessitated an emergency surgery. He is still in the ICU struggling to survive.
She thought he was late, but he was actually fighting for his life
It was like any other night. Renjith called his wife before he left office. He was going to drop a colleague at home on the way. “Nobody knows what really happened. I know what everyone seems to be talking about. Even his friend who just got discharged cannot remember much about the scene. The police tell me that they will find out more. All I know is that I came here to the hospital and found him lying in the ICU after a surgery with tubes and wires all over him. I felt like my husband was gone. Was all this just for his gold chain and money?”
