This Security Guard Needs Help To Save His 1-year-old Son From Eye Cancer

Ansh recently celebrated his 1st birthday. Everyone blessed him to have a long life. Unfortunately, within a few weeks, Ansh ended up in the hospital with cancer in his eye. Now, this baby boy needs aggressive chemotherapy before he goes blind or worse, loses his life.

They might lose the child if the treatment is delayed

Bapan and Rupali got married in 2014. He works as a security guard while she cares for the household. They lived happily on the meager Rs. 5000 he made every month. When Ansh was born, these parents could not even express their joy. To them, family means everything. But they are now under the threat of losing their child's future or worse, his life.

“2 months ago, I saw a bulge in Ansh’s eye. At first, I thought it was just the heat. Then, it got bigger. Soon after that he was struggling to see, and his eye was continuously tearing up. So, I held a cotton ball to his eyes, and took him to the eye clinic.”

He might lose his eyesight if he doesn't get the treatment now

The ophthalmologist in Hassan immediately recognized the symptoms of tumor and referred Ansh to an oncologist. Bapan brought his son to NH Bangalore where the child was diagnosed with eye cancer.

My son needs treatment for 1 year. The doctor said chemotherapy can cure his disease. If we delay, he will go blind in one eye or it may spread, and we might lose him. We do not have enough money to complete this treatment.”

How you can help

With Bapan’s salary, the family has not been able to save enough. They had to sell their small piece of land, borrow from the villagers and pay Rs. 1.2 Lakhs to get started on the treatment. Currently, Bapan and his wife have rented a room near the hospital, and are even skipping food so they can save whatever money they have for Ansh’s treatment. The family needs Rs. 16 Lakhs to save baby Ansh. They have run out of resources and do not have anyone else to ask for help.

Your contribution can save this baby’s eyesight and his life.
