"If I would have been in her place, I would have been dead already. Lotika is a fighter, I don't know where she gets all her strength from".
All throughout her life, Lotika has been struggling hard to take care of every member of the family. But now she needs help to fight against the deadly disease. It started with a small lump but much before they could start her treatment, Lotika was diagnosed with cancer.
We never imagined she could get cancerIn December 2016, Lotika had a small lump in the breast area. But we had no idea that it might turn into a cyst soon.
"When I was told that Lotika was suffering from cancer, I felt as if the world has come to an end. I couldn't move, couldn't speak. I became a stoic".
Lotika was the sole supporter of the entire family
"I still remember those days, when she would always put that extra effort for their betterment. She had one-year-old Harishita to look after also, but hardly can I remember her to complain. I believe her to be a real fighter", says Arup.
Although they struggled to clear their debts, they were happy. But the joy was short-lived. In 2016, Arup met with an accident and was hospitalized for more than 2 months.
