Little Mehnoor has cancer
Saveena and Mintu were very excited when they had Mehnoor; she was their first child and the joy of becoming parents for the first time was beyond compare. They wanted to give the best to her and she became their world. But last month, Mehnoor had an extremely high fever and her body turned pale. Without any delay, the parents took her to the hospital. The little girl underwent some tests and the reports left these parents devastated.“They said that my daughter has cancer, a disease that can leave even the strongest of adults weak. Why her? Mehnoor suffers from Acute Myeloid Leukemia, a severe type of blood cancer. AML progresses rapidly and is typically fatal within weeks or months if left untreated. She needs continued chemotherapy and radiation to survive.“She is admitted in the hospital currently and my wife is with her. I travel daily from our home as I am not allowed to be there for long periods. My daughter is afraid of needles, but every day she has to undergo platelet transfusions as her levels get critically low otherwise. I try to be there and boost her courage, but I don’t know how to save her life.” -Mintu, father
