Sathish works as a bus conductor with BMTC and Sashikala works as a staffing nurse on a contract basis. Work is not regular and the income is low. Under these conditions, they still managed to spend their days in happiness – only because of their two children. They didn’t have much, but at least they had their children, a future to look forward to for them. Now it feels like they have nothing.“My younger son is back in our village with our relatives, our daughter is here…just lying here..we sleep on the chairs in the waiting room, sometimes on the floor. We don’t even know what day of the week it is anymore.”
