“I couldn’t believe that my daughter was suffering from a dangerous disease like cancer. She is only 9, how can she suffer so much? I kept worrying if she will ever get better. I have always heard that cancer kills, I spent sleepless nights wondering if I will lose my child. I can’t explain to you in words how afraid I have been…,” - Noor Bi, 9-year-old Aliya’s mother.
But then Noor and her husband, Moula, saw children younger than Aliya battling cancer and overcoming it. The scared and desperate parents then realised that their 9-year-old can beat cancer but they’re unable to afford the treatment.
Her entire body started aching, she wasn’t able to eat anythingIn the last 2 months, Aliya’s condition started worsening day by day. First she experienced a severe pain in her legs and then it spread to her arms. She couldn’t lift them up, she couldn’t even move them an inch. Aliya had almost stopped eating.
“The local doctors found nothing. But my daughter was getting sicker. And then, we decided to take her to a bigger hospital. After numerous tests, we found out that my little angel is suffering from blood cancer!” - Noor Bi, mother.
I couldn’t pay her school fees, how will I pay for her cancer treatment?A bright and intelligent student, Aliya loves studying. She was in the Standard 1 and was soon to be promoted. But then the lockdown started and Moula was not able to get any job. For months together, the family either stayed on one meal a day or even worse, starved.
“I had no choice but to stop paying Aliya’s school fees. I was begging from everyone I knew to feed my family, I was in no condition to afford her school fees. Aliya was heartbroken, I could sense that but what would I do? And now, she is fighting a dangerous disease but I can’t save her,” - Moula, father.
How you can helpAn out of work welder, Moula has been struggling very hard to continue Aliya’s treatment. He has borrowed from friends and relatives and has spent over a lakh till now. But he needs 10 lakhs more to cure Aliya - the helpless father doesn’t know how he can arrange for that.
“My entire family is looking up to me, they’re expecting me to save my daughter but I don’t know what to do! 10 lakhs is a huge amount for a middle class person like me and on top of that I have no job. I am unable to pay the rent for the house, my younger kids are suffering. Noor and I are doing everything we can to keep our family together, but we’re failing. Please help us,” - Moula.
With your generous contribution, 9-year-old Aliya can beat cancer and get back her childhood.
