Rapidly Spreading Tumour In This 2-Year-Old's Brain Will Kill Him If He Doesn't Get A Transplant

“My baby turned 2 just two days ago. But we didn’t celebrate his birthday, he was getting his chemo injections then. He was screaming out loud, unable to bear the pain. There was nothing I could do to change that. As I stood there, helpless, the only thought that ran through my mind was if my son would live to see his third birthday,” - Mamta, mother of Abhiraj.

Abhiraj has a rapidly spreading brain tumour that can paralyse and even kill him if he doesn’t get the treatment in time.

Cancer crept into Abhiraj’s life without any warning

Sitting beside his son in the cancer ward, Murari still can’t accept that his little boy is fighting such a deadly disease. His pale face, weak frame brings tears to his eyes. He vomits out every time he eats anything - the IV fluids are the only thing he can have.
“In February, Abhiraj suddenly became sick. He started vomiting and used to hold his head and cry in pain. We knew this wasn’t normal. We immediately took him to the doctor only to find that he has a growing tumor in his brain. That was the worst day of our lives,” - Murari, father.

They took him to Delhi, where Abhiraj underwent a surgery. The tumour was removed but not completely. He still needs chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant.

He is 2 but can’t walk - the tumour is spreading fast

Little Abhiraj doesn’t have much time left. The tumor in his brain is spreading fast to his spinal cord. He is 2 but he still hasn’t taken his first steps. He can get better if he gets that transplant as soon as possible.

“No parents should have to go through this ever. When they are born, we promise our children that we will protect them, always. And here I am, looking at my baby suffering at the hands of this disease. I wish I was going through this pain instead of him,” - Mamta.

Murari is desperate, he is begging for your help

“My son is getting his regular chemos and I am unable to even be by his side always. My wife and son are in Kolkata, while I am working here.  I can’t afford to miss a single day at work - Abhiraj’s treatment will stop otherwise. My savings are getting over. Who will lend me 10 lakhs for my son? It is horrible to live in the fear of losing your son to cancer,” - Murari.

Murari is a marketing executive in a private company, making about Rs 20,000. Mamta used to take tuitions for little children at home but since Abhiraj’s illness, she hasn’t left his side. The struggling parents have spent more than 5 lakhs on their son’s treatment but that’s not enough. A little help from your side can make a big difference in their lives.

A generous contribution from your side will bring back the lost smile on these desperate parents' face. They want to save their 2-year-old from deadly cancer but without your help, it won't be possible
