He Did Something Extraordinary. Here's A Celebrity Ice Bucket Challenge To Watch

The ice bucket challenge seems to be a gift that keeps on giving. Every celebrity worth their salt has already done it. It's almost like all the people in show business we'd forgotten about have come forth to just show us that they exist. Name one who hasn't done it, but I am never entirely sure if they've gone and read up on it. But then again, it raises a certain amount of awareness for a cause that would've not come out to the forefront if it wasn't for celebrities endorsing it. Hence which is the most notable, and the one which we like is Matt Damon's. He dumped water from his toilet on his head, additionally raising awareness for clean water and sanitation.

“It posed kind of a problem for me. Not only because there is a drought here in California, but because I co—founded Water.org and we envision a day when everyone has access to a clean drink of water -- there are about 800 million people in the world who don’t. So dumping a clean bucket of water on my head seemed a little crazy.” The nonprofit is dedicated to providing clean drinking water and sanitation  to those in underserved regions of the world.

“We also want to bring adequate sanitation for the 2.4 billion people on planet Earth who don’t have it, so I thought a good thing to do was to kind of tie those things together and take toilet water — this is truly toilet water. I’ve been collecting it from various toilets around the house," he continues before concluding with the statement that if we find it disgusting, it's time to do something about it.

Remarkable.

So please listen to Mr. Damon, and check out our clean water and sanitation causes, which we firmly believe in too.

PS: As an aside, the other famous person worth a mention, is of course, Stephen Hawking, who's lived with ALS for most of his life.
