I want to may not be able to give him all the happiness in the world but I will try my best. However, god feels we don't deserve him and wants to take him from us. I am trying hard to fight from him, I just need support" - Rahul Gaikwad

Baby showed initial symptoms of something was not right.

The Gaikwads were recently blessed with a baby boy in May. Both parents were extremely excited and happy to welcome the new born, however, their joy short lived. Baby since the birth suffered from high fever, he constantly cried and stayed awake for a prolonged period.new born, however, their joy short lived. Baby since the birth suffered from high fever, he constantly cried and stayed awake for a prolonged period.

In a couple of days it was identified that baby's liver was not completely functional and in the next few days the doctors diagnosed, the baby was suffering from Primary Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis (HLH).
It is an is uncommon cell disorder seen more often in children than in adults. The disorder constantly depletes the body's immunity and has a mortality rate of over 50 % in new born children.

"We don't even know what that disease is and what does it do, we are not educated but we do understand that our child's life is in danger"

Doctors had advised starting the treatment at earliest but the parents have unable to arrange money.

The doctors had clearly advised the parents that the only option to save the baby's lifewas by undergoing a stem cell transplant and that would have to be conducted at the earliest. However with a huge medical estimate of 15 lakhs, the parents have been running from pillar to post to arrange funds.

"The requirement is so much that it would take me at least 20 years to earn that much money, how am I able to arrange it in such a short span of time?"

Still Rahul has managed to arrange 7.5 lakhs for the treatment.

"The only thing I have know is to do hard work and stay patient. I have been asking help from each and everyone by I meet. I have been able to get PM funds and I am trying to appeal to our CM of Maharashtra to help us with some funds."

Despite coming from a small town Sangli, Rahul has managed to collect 7.5 lakhs for treatment and is short of another 7.5 lakhs.
Your contribution can surely help in arranging funds faster and will also improve the possibilities of saving the child.
