Dally Lanka is the mother of two young children. Earlier, her family could not afford a toilet in the house, as it required a large one time investment. She was forced to go to the field to relieve herself which raised questions about security, impaired her dignity and was very time-consuming. I asked her about the benefits of having a toilet in the house now and she said that she has been able to save a lot of time. She spends that time on her handicraft business. With that, her income has increased and she has been able to buy a gas stove. She has paid for Mathematics and English tuitions for her children. Her plans for her future include expanding her handicraft business.
A Milaap loan got her a toilet, a gas stove and her dignity back. This is Dally's story of change.
