The platform gives our youngest citizens a chance to have an equal say to what happens to the last remaining parks & forests in our city.. including Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Maharashtra Nature Park, Aarey forest and more.
Students were inspired to build awareness and action to help Aarey Colony; they have come up with their own original songs, podcasts, art, fundraisers, biodiversity studies and more to help build their movement
This Earth Day Weekend (April 20th - 22nd), student will be sharing a part of this movement by hosting a free event on carter road amphitheater from 5pm to 9pm; sharing their joys, fears, thoughts and concerns around Aarey forest & how we can best to get involved and protect these unique spaces
YFA leaders have also organized several workshops on Earth Day itself at Aarey colony to come learn about what Aarey has to offer us as citizens and how we can all do our bit to protect our planet.
We need funds for:
- Organizing the sound system (11,500)
- Organizing Buses to and from the event for students (7500)
- Organizing lights, generator & material costs for displaying students work (9000)
- Organizing a videographer to help document this event to encourage others to join our movement in coming months (7000)
If you can donate even a little bit - it will help ensure that our event is a success and that perhaps we protect the little bit of remaining forest in our city!
