Groceries/Essentials kits for those affected by the lockdown.

A community-led effort driven by Help the helpless & Communityfarm to feed/provide essentials to the people who are stuck during the COVID-19 lockdown period. 

1. Daily wage workers who are stranded and are unable to support themselves during these uncertain times.
2. Orphanages and destitute homes in need of urgent supplies.
3. Migrant workers in need of urgent rations.

Help the Helpless has started a group called APR Chapati Warriors. These warriors who are our Adarsh Palm Retreat(residential community in Bangalore) awesome ladies have signed up to make 15 or more Chapatis daily for 7-10days. We have already supplied 2315 Chapatis and want to continue to do more.

Every morning between 10.30am-11am  the Chapatis are picked up by partner NGO ‘Building blocks’. They are then distributed to the migrant workers who are stranded out there waiting to get their transport back home. The Chapatis are in small kits which has tomato chutney, chikki, banana, a bottle of water.

200 packs of sanitary napkins were also distributed by HtH to migrant women and girls.
