Lalit's online fundraiser for Vocational Training | Milaap
This is a supporting campaign. Contributions made to this campaign will go towards the main campaign.

I am fundraising to help aspiring youth access vocational training.Update: National Skill Development Centre will 3X the amount raised by 17th.

Hemanta, Sultana, Hiranmoy and Munish are pursuing a 10-month Diploma course in Hardware and Networking, conducted by Orion Edutech. The course covers CCNA Certification, A+ and N+ certification, and essential communication skills. Hailing from North 24 Parganas in West Bengal, these youngsters have varied educational backgrounds: Hemanta has studied only up to Pre-University; Hiranmoy and Munish have only completed Class 10 – these qualifications would never have netted them any skilled jobs. But now, when they earn their professional diplomas in October 2014, Orion will leverage its strong corporate-partner network to get them jobs.
Every year, so many youngsters are in need of such training and intervention, to get employment in the competitive job market. The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) has recruited our field-partner Orion Edutech to help bridge this gap with its industry-oriented training programs and strong reputation across Indian IT, Banking, Government, Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), etc. sectors. Higher-secondary graduates receive 9-12 months of training and earn diplomas in programs like corporate management, hardware and networking, and BPO management. Milaap partners with Orion Edutech to provide simple loans so aspiring students can afford the training fee, and access this opportunity for a better future.
