Our beloved faculty Sri Bhukya mothiram, Asst. Prof EEE dept. of SRKR Engg. College, Bhimavaram (Working since 2006) has lost his battle with COVID-19 on 5th June' 2021. He was survived by Wife, 2 Children & old age parents.
I am Dr. Ravi Kumar, working as Prof at Nagarjuna University, also Ex-Faculty at SRKR till 2009. Mothiram Sir was my friend & M.Tech Classmate at JNTU, Ananthapuram and also my colleague when I was working at SRKR & also a close family friend. Me and SRKR EEE Alumni (EEE-2006-2010 Batch) have started this Fund Raiser to help his family in their deep crisis.
About Mothiram Sir,
A dear friend, a Ph.D. scholar, an excellent professor, a beloved father, a doting husband, and son, Sri Bhukya Mothiram lost his one-month-long battle with covid-19 and breathed his last on 5th June 2021 leaving a great void among each one of us. Knowing his strength and determination everyone was confident that he would walk out of this but destiny had a different plan. He is survived by his wife Smt Bhukya Pramila and two young children Akshith (13) and Navya Sri(10) and elderly parents. He is the sole breadwinner and backbone of his family of 6 siblings.
His life is nothing short of an inspiration. Born in a small village Bayyaram, Khammam District, Telangana in a financially weaker family, he is the first person to fight against all odds and become a highly educated Ph.D. scholar and stood as a source of inspiration for many. He pursued his bachelor (2002) from KITS, Warangal, and masters from JNTU, Anantapur(2005) and Ph.D. from JNTU, Kakinada(2014) and working as an Assistant professor in EEE Department at SRKR Engineering college, Bhimavaram for the last 15 years.
His hard work and determination helped him to pursue the highest degree of education despite his parent's socio-economic situation. His passion for education motivated him to take up a teaching job and he touched the lives of hundreds of students in this journey. He is a constant learner, motivates students, challenged them, and always expected no less than perfection from them. Though being a fun-loving person he always maintained a serious ambiance around classrooms and laboratories to ensure that the safety and security of students are of his highest priority.
Through these years of committed work he brought financial stability to his family and helped his six siblings to secure a good life. He has made great plans for his kids and always dreamt of giving them a very good future. When he contracted COVID-19 in the month of May, his family had to exhaust all the savings and took many loans to repay his hospital bills. His wife Mrs. Pramila handled all these by herself with her limited knowledge and resources. It was the hope that he would defeat covid somehow, had given her the confidence and strength to walk this difficult path. His untimely demise left family, friends, students, and the teaching fraternity in tremendous shock and pain. His kids and parents still believe that he would come back soon and his wife is helpless when they repeatedly ask this.
For the person who strived to give a better future for his students throughout his life and who believed that education can break all the shackles of society, his kids and family deserve a good education and a better future. Though we can never fill this tremendous void, let us come together to stand by this family and give them hope and confidence. We humbly request you to contribute to this fundraiser and share this as much as possible and make it successful.

Covid Expenses: Rs.15,00,000.00
Monthly expenses of the family for next 3 years: Rs. 10,80,000.00
Medical expenses of elderly parents for next 3 years: Rs.1,50,000.00
Son and daughter secondary education (till 12th standard): Rs.9,20,000.00
Higher education for both the children: Rs. 13,50,000.00
Total Amount: Rs.50,00,000.00
