We are really sorry for late updating of information and progress of our work. Due to non availability of electricity & internet we failed to connect time to time.
Presently sometimes we are getting electricity and internet at Bhubaneswar only but entire Puri district & Puri town is in dark, many villages of Khurda districts also without electricity & water. Damaged cost more than 12000 corer.
We have our 30 dedicated volunteers working restlessly dividing into three team. One team dedicatedly working for cleaning, cutting of trees/electric polls, etc. Another two teams are working for highly affecting people by distributing dry foods, water, baby foods, etc. In some cases people are still in shelter home and most are not yet prepared their home for staying, in that case we are preparing cooked food for them.
Lighting is one of the big challenge there due to unavailable of electricity. At least two months required to restore electricity. We not able to provide any lighting articles as planned solar light because of shortage of funds.
Presently we need following materials as urgently targeted 2000 families.
Dry foods
Solar light
Materials for temporary shelter ( temperature is 42 degree plus)
Baby foods
Sanitary materials ( sanitation need urgently)
Sanitary Napkins
Till date we have supplied 500 packets of food materials for cooking. more than 1000 packets of dry foods. first two days after cyclone we have supplied cooked food for about 2000 people.
Our tram cleaned many areas by cutting hundreds of trees.
We appeal for more support so that we can fulfil these above requirements as an urgent need. We also collecting donations, clothes, food materials locally.
Following are some photo graph of our team working, distributing urgent materials.
