I am Vaishali Aggarwal, am currently pursuing B.Com from Banasthali University.
I recently got associated with the 'NGO Hamari Pahchan' which was registered in year 2015 and was founded by Mr. Tarun Mathur.
The NGO works upon various social causes under it's projects like, Sukhad Project, Covid19-Corona Help, Media Training Program, Mohalla Clinics, Skill Developmet Programs and many more.
However, one of their projects has greatly inspired me, and I decided to volenteer that project.
'SUKHAD' is the name of the project. Under this, we help the underprivilegde women to spend their periods comfortably with proper means and information of the menstrual hygiene.
Providing sanitary napkins, educating them with proper menstrual hygiene and raising awareness that 'periods' is not a taboo but a normal method.
The NGO conducts weekly distribution drives and mass distribution drive on 28 May, of 'Sukhad Kits' which includes pads, soaps and disposable papers.
Price of Sukhad kits :-
Sukhad kit for 1 woman : Rs. 1,400/-
Sukhad kit for 5 women : Rs. 7,000/-
Sukhad kit for 10 women : Rs. 14,000/-
